Privacy contact
Ride in Istanbul is a booking channel for private transfers in Istanbul. Our reservation contact is hello@rideinistanbul.com and +90 501 235 06 70. For questions about personal information or to make a privacy request, email our team with the subject “Privacy request”. Identify the relevant enquiry or reservation where appropriate; do not send passport copies or bank details unless specifically needed and requested through an appropriate channel.
The organising agency is identified in the website footer and in Who we are. Booking-specific agency and transport-operator details should be checked in the confirmation supplied by the reservation team. See our legal and booking policies for the service conditions.
What information do we collect?
- Enquiries and reservations: customer and passenger names, email address, telephone number, pickup and drop-off addresses, travel dates and times, flight number and departure date, passenger and luggage counts, vehicle choice, child-seat requests, optional journey notes and communications.
- Service records: request references, reservation status, confirmed arrangements and communications about changes or cancellations. If you request an invoice, the team may need the relevant billing details.
- Flight checks: when you use flight verification, the flight number, departure date and relevant airport are used to retrieve flight status. These checks do not require your name or contact information to be sent to the flight-data provider.
- Technical information: security and request logs may include IP address, browser details, requested resources and timestamps. Optional measurement can process page activity, device/browser information, approximate location and cookie identifiers, as described below.
No payment-card form is provided on this website. Payment is arranged in the vehicle under your confirmed service conditions. Please do not put card numbers, passport details or unnecessary health information in reservation notes. When booking for another passenger, give accurate information and make this notice available to them. Provide only the child-seat details needed to arrange an appropriate seat.
Why do we use personal information?
We use enquiry and booking information to assess your request, communicate with you, arrange and perform the confirmed transfer, coordinate pickup, handle changes and resolve service issues. Necessary processing may rely on establishing or performing a contract, compliance with legal obligations, the establishment or protection of legal rights, or legitimate interests such as preventing abuse, subject to the conditions of applicable law.
Under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the applicable basis is assessed for each processing purpose, including the relevant conditions in Article 5. Health-related or other special-category information requires a separate assessment under Article 6. This notice does not request blanket consent to that processing.
Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measurement relies on your separate choice. Accepting service terms or submitting a reservation does not enable these tools or subscribe you to marketing. Operational messages about a transfer are separate from promotional communications.
Who may receive information?
The organising team and assigned transport operator or driver may receive the passenger name, necessary contact details, flight information, route, pickup time and relevant service instructions needed to arrange your journey. Technical providers may process information to host the website, store reservation requests, send transactional email, verify flights or support communications. The website uses Telegram for reservation notifications and FlightByte for flight verification.
If you choose WhatsApp, your interaction is also subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy. Loading a route map can contact OpenStreetMap and routing-service infrastructure, which receive the technical information needed to deliver that map. Following an external link takes you to that provider’s service.
Google and Microsoft receive optional measurement information only when the respective tool is enabled and you have allowed it. Information may also be disclosed where a competent authority lawfully requires it or where needed for a legal claim.
Some providers may process information outside Türkiye or your country of residence. Any applicable international-transfer requirements, including KVKK Article 9 and other applicable safeguards, must be addressed for the relevant provider and transfer. Cookie permission alone does not establish those safeguards. You can ask our privacy contact about the recipients and arrangements relevant to your information.
Google Analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics 4 helps measure visits, page views and how the website is used. Measurement can involve cookie identifiers, browser and device information, activity and approximate location. We do not deliberately send your name, email address, telephone number, passenger notes or booking reference as analytics fields.
Our integration keeps advertising storage, advertising user-data consent, advertising personalisation and Google Signals disabled. Reservation and private confirmation pages, as well as pages containing URL query parameters, are excluded from loading the measurement tags. Google Analytics is not loaded when you refuse it or have made no choice.
For more information, read how Google uses information from sites using its services and Google’s privacy policy.
Microsoft Clarity
With your separate permission, Microsoft Clarity helps us understand clicks, scrolling and page use through heatmaps and session recordings. These recordings reconstruct website interactions; they are not video from your camera or microphone. Usage information may include device/browser information, viewed pages, interaction events and online identifiers.
The reservation form is marked for masking, and input values are masked by Clarity. Private reservation/confirmation pages and query-bearing URLs are excluded from loading the tag. Do not submit confidential information in other page interactions. Clarity is not loaded before you allow it, and our consent signal keeps advertising storage denied.
Microsoft’s published retention periods include 30 days for ordinary playback data and up to nine months for click/heatmap data and retained sessions such as labelled or favourited recordings. See Clarity data retention, Clarity cookies and the Microsoft privacy statement for provider details.
Cookie and browser-storage policy
Necessary cookies support security and reservation forms. Optional analytics cookies are used only after the relevant choice. The following inventory describes the local integration; optional entries apply when their provider is enabled.
| Name or category | Provider / party | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* | This website; first party | Protect reservation forms against forged submissions | Browser session |
| rii_privacy_v1 (local storage) | This website; first party | Remember your separate Google Analytics and Clarity choices | 180 days |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics; first-party cookies | Distinguish visits and sessions for permitted measurement | Configured here for up to 180 days; browser limits can be shorter |
| _clck, _clsk | Microsoft Clarity; first-party cookies | Remember a browser identifier and connect page views into sessions | Provider-controlled; commonly up to one year and one day respectively |
| Other Clarity provider cookies, where applicable | Microsoft; third party | Provider identifiers and service operation, depending on consent, settings and browser restrictions | See Microsoft’s current cookie list |
The lifetime of a cookie differs from how long a provider retains measurement data. Clearing cookies may remove your stored preferences, causing you to be asked again. Browsers can shorten retention or block storage. No advertising-cookie category is offered by this integration.
Change or withdraw your choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. You can accept optional tools, reject them together or allow Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity separately. Closing the settings without saving does not grant permission. Refusing optional measurement does not prevent you from browsing or requesting a transfer.
When you withdraw permission, the page reloads to stop the previously loaded tools and the integration removes accessible first-party analytics cookies. We cannot clear cookies belonging to another provider’s domain; use your browser settings to remove those. Withdrawal stops future optional collection by this integration and does not itself erase information already processed. Contact us if you also wish to make a deletion request.
With JavaScript disabled, optional measurement tags do not load. The reservation service remains available. Your choice applies to this browser and device; other browsers or devices may need a separate choice.
How long is information retained?
Reservation and enquiry information is kept for the period needed to handle the request and service, meet applicable recordkeeping requirements, prevent abuse and resolve claims. Information needed for a continuing legal obligation or dispute may be kept longer. We do not promise that all booking records are deleted after one uniform period. Contact us for the retention criteria applying to your record.
Optional cookie lifetimes are shown above. Google Analytics event/user-data retention depends on the property settings, while Microsoft’s published retention periods are described in the Clarity section. Access to service records should be limited to people who need them for the relevant purpose.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request information about whether and how your personal information is processed, its purpose and recipients, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or destruction where the legal conditions are met, and notification of relevant corrections or deletions to recipients. KVKK Article 11 also provides rights concerning certain automated assessments and compensation for unlawful processing. Additional rights may apply under the GDPR where it applies, including access, restriction, objection and portability subject to their conditions.
Send a request to hello@rideinistanbul.com. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Applicable statutory application methods and response periods apply; you can also contact the competent data-protection authority. Your optional cookie consent can be withdrawn directly through the settings above.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when website functions, providers or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies this version. If an optional purpose changes materially, a new choice should be requested before that purpose is enabled.
